The 5K for FA: May 4, 2019

Held in honor of Eli Lana who was diagnosed with Fanconi anemia in 2011, the 5K for FA combines an athletic event with a tremendous raffle/prize auction. The result is a fun-filled and inspiring day that is a good time for the whole family. We have a Hula hoop warm up for the Kids’ Fun Run and a Zumba Warm Up prior to the start of the 5K run/2 mile walk. Music plays throughout the morning and 98 PXY’s Chris Debbins emcees the program.

Our prize display is amazing, with valuable gifts for highest fundraisers and best run times. Throughout the morning participants and spectators can purchase raffle tickets and peruse the tables full of potential winnings. There is something for everyone, and lots of people win!

At the heart of this event is a 14 year old boy with a life threatening illness. We are trying to raise as much money as we can to ensure Eli lives a long, happy life. So far we have generated over $100,000 for the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund. Let’s keep going.
